Development of a human skin commensal microbe for bacteriotherapy of atopic dermatitis and use in a phase 1 randomized clinical trial

Summary: The study found that the commensal bacterium ShA9 isolated from healthy human skin has the ability to kill Staphylococcus aureus and inhibit inflammation. Local application of ShA9 in patients with atopic dermatitis can reduce adverse events associated with AD.
