A large-area, flexible, high contrast and long-life stable solid-state electrochromic device driven by an anion-assisted method

Lebin Wang et al.

Summary: Electrochromic smart windows regulate indoor solar radiation by adjusting optical transmittance. Tungsten oxide/nickel oxide (WO3/NiO) solid-state devices are likely to be industrialized among all electrochromic devices. By adding 2-8 wt% of H2O to the lithium electrolyte, high charge capacity NiO films can be obtained, improving optical modulation and achieving long-life stability in solid-state electrochromic devices.
