The effects of asymmetric dark matter on stellar evolution - I. Spin-dependent scattering

Summary: The study examines the effects of spin-dependent asymmetric dark matter (ADM) energy transport on stellar structure and evolution. Results show that ADM can flatten temperature profiles in stars with certain masses, increasing main-sequence lifetimes, while shutting off core convection in higher mass stars, shortening main-sequence lifetimes. The effects are most pronounced in dense DM environments, affecting luminosity and effective temperature.
