Planet Hunters TESS II: findings from the first two years of TESS

N. L. Eisner et al.

Summary: This study presents the results of the Planet Hunters TESS project, which engages citizen scientists to identify planet candidates in the TESS data. With over 22000 participants visually inspecting the data, the project recovered 85% of TOIs and identified 90 promising planet candidates not previously recognized by other teams. Additionally, noteworthy stellar systems were also identified through this project.

37 new validated planets in overlapping K2 campaigns

J. P. de Leon et al.

Summary: By analyzing and validating 68 candidate planetary systems identified during Campaigns 5 and 6 of the NASA K2 mission, we found that most of these systems can be statistically validated as planets, including some systems with interesting features such as the longest period sub-Neptune and sub-Saturns around F stars.

Vetting of 384 TESS Objects of Interest with TRICERATOPS and Statistical Validation of 12 Planet Candidates

Steven Giacalone et al.

Summary: TRICERATOPS is a new Bayesian tool for vetting and validating TESS Objects of Interest (TOIs), using criteria to classify TOIs and prioritize follow-up observations to confirm bona fide planets. It is currently the only tool that models transits from nearby contaminant stars in addition to the target star, aiming to identify false positives and confirm actual planets.
