A transmission spectrum of the planet candidate WD 1856+534 b and a lower limit to its mass

R. Alonso et al.

Summary: The study found that the cool white dwarf WD 1856+534 was transited by a Jupiter-sized object with a mass estimation between 2.4 M-Jup and 1.6 M-Jup. It discussed the potential effects of clouds and hazes on the mass estimation, as well as the method of deriving DA classification based on atmospheric parameters. The study also demonstrated the possibility of detecting more massive objects with longer periods through the light-time effect.

I Spy Transits and Pulsations: Empirical Variability in White Dwarfs Using Gaia and the Zwicky Transient Facility

Joseph A. Guidry et al.

Summary: The study introduces a new method for detecting variable astrophysical objects and transient phenomena using Gaia and ZTF photometry. By applying this method, numerous new variable white dwarfs and white dwarfs likely to host transiting planetary debris were identified, significantly enriching research in the field.
