The study demonstrates the impact of high-pressure torsion deformation on the structure of ti-MnAl hard magnetic alloy, showing a nonmonotonical behavior between strain and long-range order parameter. A drastic decrease in the long-range order parameter was observed at a true strain of 4.93, attributed to dislocation accumulation, with partial recovery observed for deformations exceeding 4.93.
The aim of this work was to study the effect of high-pressure torsion deformation method on the structure of ti-MnAl hard magnetic alloy. The long-range order parameter a dependence on strain revealed nonmonotonical behavior with a minimum. A drastic fall in the long-range order parameter occurred due to accumulation of dislocations was detected for all samples deformed up to true strain g = 4.93 where the minimum of a = 0.49 was reached. The alloy undergone deformation g > 4.93 was characterized by partial recovery of a. Possible structural factors for the long-range order parameter behavior are discussed in the article.
