Ultrasound assisted synthesis of magnetic Fe3O4/α-MnO2 nanocomposite for photodegradation of organic dye

Monika Dubey et al.

Summary: An ultrasound assisted method was used to synthesize magnetic Fe3O4/alpha-MnO2 nanocomposite, which was characterized by various analytical techniques. The nanocomposite exhibited excellent photocatalytic degradation of crystal violet dye under solar and UV-vis irradiation, and showed good reusability under certain conditions.

Zinc oxide quantum dots: Confinement size, photophysical and tunning optical properties effect on photodecontamination of industrial organic pollutants

Walied. A. A. Mohamed et al.

Summary: The confinement size effect and tuning optical properties of zinc oxide quantum dots were observed using a modified wet chemical preparation method. The purity, high crystallinity, and elongated structure of the quantum dots were investigated through XRD and TEM tests. The photocatalytic activity of ZD1 was found to be higher than ZD2 by 20%, and the photocatalytic efficiency was observed to increase as the crystallite size decreased.
