Summary: Serial intralesional steroid injection (SILSI) is effective in improving both subjective symptoms and objective airflow parameters in patients with idiopathic subglottic stenosis (ISGS), and it also has an impact on voice changes. The research shows that SILSI is associated with improvement in subjective voice ratings in about half of patients, and the improvement correlates with improved airflow measurements.
