Disability Prevention Program Improves Life-Space and Falls Efficacy: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Minhui Liu et al.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the effects of a home-based disability prevention program on life-space and falls efficacy among low-income older adults. Findings showed that participants who received the intervention had improved life-space in various areas and an increase in falls efficacy during daily activities. Thus, this intervention can effectively promote independent living among older adults.

Association of Mandatory Bundled Payments for Joint Replacement With Postacute Care Outcomes Among Medicare and Medicaid Dual Eligible Patients

Yue Li et al.

Summary: The study suggests that the Medicare comprehensive care for joint replacement (CJR) program can help reduce institutional postacute care (PAC) use and readmissions for both full-benefit dual eligibles and Medicare-only patients. However, the CJR program does not seem to have a significant impact on reducing disparities between Medicaid and non-Medicaid beneficiaries.
