Pore Engineering for One-Step Ethylene Purification from a Three-Component Hydrocarbon Mixture

Summary: This study presents three new isostructural porous coordination networks that can produce high-purity ethylene through one separation step, by selectively adsorbing acetylene and ethane while having low affinity for ethylene. Hindered by the similar properties of C2 hydrocarbons, the networks achieved this through fine-tuned dual cage structures and specific interactions within the cages.
