Structural properties of hydrogen-like ions (Z=1-18) under quantum and classical plasma environment

Sujay Kr. Nayek et al.

Summary: A simple pure-exponential type wavefunction in the Ritz variational framework is proposed for estimating precise eigenenergies and radial distributions of nl [n = 1-8; l = 0-7] states of L-2 [L = 0-7] symmetry of hydrogen iso-electronic ions (Z = 1-18) under classical weakly coupled plasma and dense quantum plasma environment. Critical screening parameters for both types of plasma background are also estimated.

High-precision calculation of relativistic corrections for hydrogen-like atoms with screened Coulomb potentials

Hui Hui Xie et al.

Summary: The first-order relativistic corrections to the non-relativistic energies of hydrogen-like atoms in plasma screening environments were calculated using direct perturbation theory and the generalized pseudospectral method. The study investigated the effects of different screening conditions on the eigenenergies of hydrogen-like atoms and found good agreement for relativistic mass correction and spin-orbit coupling, but significant discrepancies for the Darwin term. Overall, the relativistic-corrected system energies predicted in this study were in good agreement with fully relativistic calculations in the literature.

Complete analytical solution to the quantum Yukawa potential

M. Napsuciale et al.

Summary: In this study, a complete analytical solution to the quantum problem of a particle in the Yukawa potential was presented using supersymmetry and expansion of corresponding super-potentials. The results improve on existing findings for the critical screening of the ground state, and correction to variational techniques in darkonium transitions are provided.
