Fast high-shear exfoliation of natural flake graphite with temperature control and high yield

Sara Lund et al.

Summary: In this study, a fast graphene synthesis method was demonstrated, producing high concentrations of graphene dispersions after only 2 hours of shear exfoliation in an environmentally friendly aqueous medium. The quality of the produced graphene was high and mostly less than 5 layers thick, with improved conductivity of subsequent graphene films achieved through the use of larger graphite flakes and dialysis to remove excess surfactant.
