Improving the mechanical properties of strontium nitrate doped dicalcium phosphate cement nanoparticles for bone repair application

Rezvan Fada et al.

Summary: Advancements have been made in the field of bone materials and cements, with particular focus on the impact of strontium nitrate on dicalcium phosphate bone cements. Analytical techniques such as XRD and FESEM were used to examine the phase composition and microstructure of the samples. The results indicated improved mechanical and biological properties in certain compositions of the scaffolds, particularly with the addition of hydroxyapatite and brushite.
