Jessica Eve Jackson et al.

Summary: This research aims to understand the motivations and barriers faced by women who continue breastfeeding beyond infancy, in order to support this practice and raise awareness. The findings suggest that women continue breastfeeding to play a central role in their child's health and develop attachment-led parental style, while facing social and cultural stigma. Efforts to raise awareness of breastfeeding beyond infancy are needed to normalize this practice in the UK.
