Bloodmyo-inositol concentrations in preterm and term infants

Luc P. Brion et al.

Summary: The study describes the relationship between cord blood myo-inositol concentrations and gestational age, as well as the trends of postnatal myo-inositol concentrations in fed and unfed infants up to 70 days of age. Findings indicate that fetal myo-inositol concentrations decrease with increasing gestational age, while postnatal concentrations decrease with increasing postmenstrual age and are higher in enterally fed infants compared to unfed infants.
