Synergistic antibacterial activity of physical-chemical multi-mechanism by TiO2 nanorod arrays for safe biofilm eradication on implant

Summary: In this study, the combination of TiO2 nanorod arrays and near-infrared light irradiation proved to effectively eradicate single-species biofilms with excellent antibacterial properties. This method demonstrated efficient treatment of implant-associated infections and promotion of new bone formation, showing promising clinical potential in orthopedic and dental applications.
