To eat or not to eat: a Garcia effect in pond snails (Lymnaea stagnalis)

Veronica Rivi et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates that pond snails are capable of exhibiting the Garcia effect, and this effect can be prevented through specific mechanisms. Additionally, pond snails show a long-term memory phenotype following a period of food deprivation when tested in a food satiated state.
