Statistical shape modelling for the analysis of head shape variations

Pam Heutinck et al.

Summary: The study aimed to create a population-based 3D head shape model for 0 to 2-year-old subjects and test a combined normal and sagittal craniosynostosis population model for surgical outcome assessment. Results showed that post-operative head shape did not fully normalize, indicating potential limitations in surgical interventions for craniosynostosis.
