Stable small spatial hairs in a power-law k-inflation model

Tuan Q. Do

Summary: In this paper, we extend our investigation of the cosmic no-hair conjecture within non-canonical anisotropic inflation and find a solution with stable and attractive hairs violating the cosmic no-hair conjecture. The corresponding tensor-to-scalar ratio of this model is highly consistent with the observational data of the Planck 2018.

Anisotropic power-law inflation for a model of two scalar and two vector fields

Tuan Q. Do et al.

Summary: A multi-field extension model was proposed, with an exact Bianchi type I power-law solution shown to be stable and attractive if both scalar fields are canonical, but becomes unstable when one of the scalar fields is phantom.

The isotropic attractor solution of axion-SU(2) inflation: universal isotropization in Bianchi type-I geometry

Ira Wolfson et al.

Summary: The study investigates isotropic background solutions of SU(2) gauge fields coupled to an axion field during inflation, showing that these models generally isotropize in Bianchi type-I geometry. By adding axial symmetry to the setup and using a new parametrization, the study revisits numerical analysis showing that reported numerical breakdown in the previous analysis was due to parametrization singularity, demonstrating that the system respects the cosmic no-hair conjecture with anisotropies diluting away within a few e-folds.

Cosmic no-hair conjecture and inflation with an SU(3) gauge field

Pengyuan Gao et al.

Summary: The study reveals that while the SU(3) gauge field grows initially due to interaction with the inflaton, nonlinear self-couplings in the kinetic term cause significant dynamics after sufficient growth. In general cases, all components tend to decay eventually due to these nonlinear self-couplings, leading to the cosmic no-hair conjecture holding in a mathematical sense. However, anisotropy can be transiently generated in the early Universe, and specific cases show some components of the SU(3) gauge field surviving against the nonlinear self-couplings.

General solutions to N-field cosmology with exponential potentials

Perseas Christodoulidis

Summary: In this study, we construct the general analytical solution for the N-field product-exponential potential in an expanding FLRW background and demonstrate its relevance in deriving estimates for the transitional time between arbitrary initial states and slow-roll solutions. These estimates can also be used to show non-linear convergence towards slow-roll solutions, and the solution is extended to include stiff matter.
