Co-precipitation under rapid mixing is an effective method to obtain biocompatible nanoparticles, and diverse particle carriers are achieved by controlled phase separation via interfacial tensions. The regulation of interfacial tensions can control the final morphology of particles and applications in various fields show great potential.

Encapsulation and sedimentation of nanomaterials through complex coacervation

Summary: This study successfully removed and recovered nanoparticles from highly stable aqueous colloidal dispersions using complex coacervation, presenting a feasible low-cost and eco-friendly solution. The results showed that coacervate destabilized long-lasting colloidal suspensions, achieving efficient encapsulation and sedimentation of nanomaterials in a short period of time.
