Performance of Impure Calcined Clay as a Pozzolan in Concrete

Summary: In this study, impure calcined clays were investigated as alternative pozzolans for concrete, meeting ASTM standards and improving the durability of concrete. The use of calcined clays improved concrete durability, while ternary mixtures showed excellent strength development while replacing nearly 50% of the Portland cement.
