Molecular level changes during suppression of Rhizoctonia solani growth by humic substances and relationships with chemical structure

Shiping Wei et al.

Summary: This study investigated the inhibitory effects of humic substances on phytopathogenic fungi and the underlying molecular mechanisms. The results showed that humic substances suppressed the growth of Rhizoctonia solani, altered its morphological characteristics, and modulated its transcriptomic sequence. The study identified differentially expressed genes related to various molecular processes, suggesting the potential biofungicidal activity of humic substances.
