Preview control for a class of linear discrete-time periodic systems

Summary: This paper addresses the preview tracking control problem for linear discrete-time periodic systems with previewable signals. A difference operator approach is introduced to derive an augmented error system, transforming the original system's control problem into a stabilization problem via periodic static output feedback. Sufficient conditions for closed-loop stability and a periodic controller design with preview actions are proposed using linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
