Preclinical assessment of the efficacy and specificity of GD2-B7H3 SynNotch CAR-T in metastatic neuroblastoma

Babak Moghimi et al.

Summary: The study highlights the importance of developing gated systems for predicting clinical toxicity of CAR T cells in solid tumors. By utilizing murine and human CAR-T cells specific for tumor antigens, the researchers were able to generate a GD2-B7H3 CAR-T with improved metabolic fitness and efficacy in controlling neuroblastoma growth in preclinical models. This innovative approach shows promising results in suppressing neuroblastoma with minimal adverse effects.

Immunohistochemical Analysis of DNA Repair- and Drug-Efflux-Associated Molecules in Tumor and Peritumor Areas of Glioblastoma

Cristiana Angelucci et al.

Summary: Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most commonly occurring primary tumor within the central nervous system, characterized by high invasiveness and poor prognosis. This study suggests that the expression of specific molecules in the peritumoral tissue may impact the development and chemoresistance of GBM, with MGMT expression in peritumoral tissue potentially serving as a prognostic factor for patient survival.

Low-grade gangliogliomas in adults: A population-based study

Xiaoning Lin et al.

Summary: Low-grade gangliogliomas (GGs) are rare CNS tumors in adults. This study aimed to define their characteristics and prognostic factors, using the SEER database to investigate clinicopathological factors in adult patients. The results showed that factors such as age, gender, tumor site, and treatment pattern were significant for overall survival, with adjuvant radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy shortening OS time in adult patients with low-grade GGs.
