Identification of PTPRσ-interacting proteins by proximity-labelling assay

Yuanhao Gong et al.

Summary: Receptor protein tyrosine phosphatases (RPTPs) are type-I transmembrane proteins involved in various biological and pathological processes, exerting their functions through tyrosine dephosphorylation of specific substrates. A recent study using BioID assay successfully identified 99 interacting proteins for PTPR sigma, including cortactin as one of the known interactors.

Summary: Chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans play important roles in the nervous system, contributing to development, maturation, and pathological responses. Among over 30 types of CSPGs, this review focuses on the roles of several key ones in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Enoxaparin promotes functional recovery after spinal cord injury by

Sadayuki Ito et al.

Summary: PTPRσ functions as a molecular switch regulating axonal regeneration in response to different glycan ligands. Enoxaparin, a heparin oligosaccharide, induces clustering and inactivation of PTPRσ, promoting axonal growth. Systemic administration of enoxaparin improves anatomical recovery and motor function without causing obvious hemorrhage after optic nerve and spinal cord injuries in rats.
