Evaluating stray current interference from DC traction lines on a pipeline network by means of a stochastic approach

G. Lucca

Summary: This paper presents a non-deterministic approach to studying the effects of stray current generated by DC railway or tramway lines on buried pipelines, with three novel aspects including the incorporation of rail conductance as a random variable, describing the soil using a two-layer model, and generalizing the pipeline layout from a single broken line to a complex branched network based on the author's previous work.
