Prevalence of binge-eating disorder among children and adolescents: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Summary: The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence of binge-eating disorder (BED) and subclinical BED in children and adolescents. The results showed that the prevalence of BED in children and adolescents was 1.32% and the prevalence of subclinical BED was 3.0%. The study found that BED is as common in this age group as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa.

Psychometric properties of the adapted Malay Eating Disorder Examination-Questionnaire 6.0 (EDE-Q 6.0) among university students in Malaysia

The Malay version is considered a valid and reliable instrument for assessing eating disorder psychopathology among Malaysian university students.
