Risk Factors for Contact Lens-Related Microbial Keratitis and Associated Vision Loss in a South Indian Population

Nagaraju Konda et al.

Summary: In a south Indian population, professional employment, frequency of contact lens disposal, and overnight wear were found to be the most significant risk factors associated with CL-MK, while high myopia, severe condition, and hypopyon were the major risk factors for vision loss. Identifying these risk factors could help in developing safe contact lens wear habits and management strategies.
