Intelligent Reflecting Surface-Assisted Cognitive Radio System

Summary: This study introduces multiple intelligent reflecting surfaces into a CR system to improve spectral efficiency and energy efficiency. By optimizing the transmitter beamforming and reflector coefficients, the achievable rate of secondary users is maximized. The results show that intelligent reflecting surfaces can significantly improve the achievable rate of secondary users under perfect and imperfect channel state information cases.
