RACE: QoI-Aware Strategic Resource Allocation for Provisioning Se-aaS

Sudip Misra et al.

Summary: This paper studies the problem of ensuring profitability for multiple sensor-owners in sensor-cloud while satisfying the service requirements of end-users. To address this problem, a strategic resource allocation scheme called RACE is proposed, which involves the participation of sensor-owners in the node allocation process. Experimental results show that using RACE significantly increases the profits of sensor-owners and the sensor-cloud service provider, as well as improves service availability in the sensor-cloud.

QoS-Aware Dispersed Dynamic Mapping of Virtual Sensors in Sensor-Cloud

Sudip Misra et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the dynamic mapping of virtual sensors in sensor-cloud and proposes an online scheme named QADMAP based on game theory to solve this problem. Simulation results show that using QADMAP can significantly reduce energy consumption, improve service availability, and increase the profit of the SCSP.

Dynamic Trust Enforcing Pricing Scheme for Sensors-as-a-Service in Sensor-Cloud Infrastructure

Aishwariya Chakraborty et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the issue of providing high-quality Se-aaS in an oligopolistic market with competitive sensor owners and heterogeneous sensor nodes, proposing a dynamic pricing scheme named DETER to enforce trust among sensor owners and ensure quality maintained by SCSP. The use of DETER leads to decreased energy consumption and network overhead in sensor nodes, as well as maintaining a balance between sensor owners' earnings and SCSP profit in a service-oriented sensor cloud environment.
