An Impedance Debris Sensor Based on a High-Gradient Magnetic Field for High Sensitivity and High Throughput

Haotian Shi et al.

Summary: This article presents an impedance debris sensor capable of simultaneously detecting inductance and resistance parameters, which improves sensitivity by establishing a high-gradient magnetic field detection region and increasing detection throughput. The sensor can accurately measure the size information of different particles and distinguish between 25 μm iron particles and 85 μm copper particles, making it potentially suitable for health monitoring of hydraulic equipment.
