This story illustrates the importance of continuous improvement and innovation, as a carpenter realizes the positive impact of adding a tool to his toolbox.
Imagine a carpenter who after many years of successful practicing suddenly realizes that his work could be greatly helped by adding one more tool, a chisel. The idea is simple and obvious, but no carpenter had thought of this before. So the carpenter adds a chisel to his toolbox, and the positive effect is huge and immediate. In our story, the carpenter is IEEE, and the chisel is the IEEE Sensors Journal.
