Mapping the evolution and current trends in climate change adaptation science

Johanna Nalau et al.

Summary: Research on climate change adaptation has been increasing in number and significance since the 1970s, leading to a vast amount of information that is difficult to manage. Despite the use of systematic literature reviews by researchers, there is still a lack of overall analysis of the current state of climate change adaptation science literature. This paper provides a multifaceted bibliometric review focused on the human dimensions of climate change adaptation, exploring how it has evolved over time in terms of disciplines, social relationships, and geographies.
