Glass based on lithium tetraborate synthesized by solid-phase methods and doped with rare earth elements Sm3+ and Gd3+ were studied, with absorption and photoluminescence spectra analyzed. The transfer of excitation energy from gadolinium ions to samarium ions was observed, and an energy level diagram for Sm3+ and Gd3+ in the glasses was proposed.
Glasses based on lithium tetraborate obtained by solid-phase synthesis and doped with earth elements Sm3 +, Gd3 + have been investigated. The absorption and photoluminescence spectra were measured. The phenomenon of transfer of excitation energy from gadolinium ions to samarium ions is considered. A diagram of the energy levels of Sm3+ and Gd3+ in the studied glasses is proposed.
