Comparative analysis of gene expression profiles in differentiated subcutaneous adipocytes between Jiaxing Black and Large White pigs

Dawei Zhang et al.

Summary: This study compared the expression profiles of subcutaneous adipocytes from Jiaxing Black pigs and Large White pigs, identifying differentially expressed genes and lncRNAs mainly related to immune response, cell fate determination, PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, and MAPK signaling pathway, which are known to be involved in adipogenesis and lipid metabolism. The results provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms regulating subcutaneous fat deposition in pigs, with the MAPK signaling pathway found to play a significant role in adipogenesis.

Overexpression of Krueppel like factor 3 promotes subcutaneous adipocytes differentiation in goat Capra hircus

Changsheng He et al.

Summary: This study cloned the goat KLF3 gene for the first time and found that KLF3 acts as a positive regulator in subcutaneous adipocyte differentiation in goats. The homology of KLF3 varies across different species, with the highest similarity to sheep and lower similarity to mice, while its expression level is highest in fat tissue.
