Wastewater as an economical and ecofriendly green medium for microalgal biofuel production

Summary: This study demonstrated the growth of microalgae in wastewaters for biofuel production, achieving simultaneous nutrient removal and algal oil production. By cultivating green algae in domestic wastewaters, efficient degradation of nutrients in wastewater was achieved, and the fatty acid composition of the algae was diverse.
