Evaluation flammability, mechanical and electrical properties of polypropylene after using zinc borates and montmorillonite

A. A. Younis

Summary: This study investigates the properties of polypropylene blended with different weight percentages of zinc borate and potassium montmorillonite. The results show that the blended material has improved mechanical properties, increased electrical resistivity, and decreased heat capacity. The burning rate is also reduced with increased ignition time.
