Differential roles of miR-15a/16-1 and miR-497/195 clusters in immune cell development and homeostasis

Summary: miRNAs are important regulators of gene expression, with miR-15 family playing key roles in conditions like chronic lymphocytic leukemia. While miR-15a/16-1 deficiency affects NK and early B-cell development, miR-497/195 lack of function does not show similar effects. The redundancy of miR-497/195 to other miRNA clusters and its potential role in specific physiological or pathological conditions are suggested by the study.
