Summary: This paper evaluates the efficiency of Chinese commercial banks based on different non-performing loans, dividing them into three categories based on risk. The research shows that state-owned commercial banks outperformed joint-stock commercial banks and city commercial banks over the study period. Additionally, the development of Internet finance has a positive impact on the deposit producing sub-stage.

Efficiency evaluation for regional industrial water use and wastewater treatment systems in China: A dynamic interactive network slacks-based measure model

Summary: This study developed a dynamic interactive network slacks-based measure (SBM) model to assess the performance of regional industrial water systems (IWSs) in China, showing that the capacity of facilities for treatment of wastewater (CTW) significantly impacts the overall efficiency of the system. Only a few regions are considered overall efficient, with inefficiencies in both the water use subsystem (WUS) and the wastewater treatment subsystem (WTS) contributing to the inefficiency of the whole system. It was found that the eastern area of China has the highest mean overall efficiency and mean subsystem efficiencies among the three major geographical areas.
