Synthetic 2D Mammography Versus Standard 2D Digital Mammography: A Diagnostic Test Accuracy Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Summary: This study compared the diagnostic accuracy of synthetic 2D mammography, digital mammography, and a combination of the two with digital breast tomosynthesis for breast cancer detection. The findings showed that synthetic 2D mammography and digital mammography with digital breast tomosynthesis have comparable diagnostic accuracy to standard digital mammography.
