Analysis of firm CSR strategies

Junsong Bian et al.

Summary: This paper explores firms' endogenous CSR compliance strategies, finding that CSR compliant operations are implemented when the exposure risk is high or the cost premium is low. The study also examines how competition affects firms' CSR compliance strategies and whether firms perform better with CSR compliant operations. Overall, the results suggest that by considering both external exposure risk and cost premium, firms can engage in win-win equilibrium by adopting CSR compliant operations.
