Utilization of Cr-Contaminated Oil-Based Drilling-Cuttings Ash in Preparation of Bauxite-Based Proppants

Pin Xie et al.

Summary: The study showed that OBDCA-sp/bauxite proppants had excellent performance at low mixture ratios, but increasing the ratio led to surface collapse of the proppants. X-ray diffraction results revealed a decrease in bauxite phase structure as the mixture ratio of OBDCA-sp to bauxite increased.

Remediation of oil-based drilling waste using the electrokinetic-Fenton method

Sajjad Adhami et al.

Summary: By enhancing the EK method with Fenton technique and using copper and iron electrodes, this study successfully removed TPH from drilling waste, achieving a removal rate of up to 77%. The use of iron electrodes also helped improve the removal efficiency, with a removal rate of 69.6%. These results indicate that the EK-Fenton method combined with copper electrodes is effective in removing TPH from drilling waste.
