Failure analysis and design of grouted fibre-composite repair system for corroded steel pipes

Md Shamsuddoha et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the performance of a grouted fibre-reinforced composite repair system for steel pipelines with different levels of metal loss through finite element analysis, showing that thicker sleeves and higher tensile strength grout provide higher pipe capacity. A high modulus grout allows for more effective load transfer from steel to sleeve in the repair system.
