Advanced Exergy Analysis of Waste-Based District Heating Options through Case Studies

Huseyin Gunhan Ozcan et al.

Summary: This study investigates the energy efficiency of a district heating system, analyzing different waste heat sources and evaluating the performance of components such as heat exchangers and pumps. The findings indicate that in real-time implementation, the overall functional exergy efficiency of the system is linearly and inversely proportional to the pipeline length and average ambient temperature.
