An investigation into the anthropogenic nexus among consumption of energy, tourism, and economic growth: do economic policy uncertainties matter?

Festus Fatai Adedoyin et al.

Summary: This study investigated the relationship between energy consumption, tourists' arrivals, economic policy uncertainty, and ecological footprint in top earning countries from international tourism. The findings suggest that economic policy uncertainties, tourism, and energy consumption contribute to environmental degradation, with policy uncertainties moderating the impact of energy consumption on ecological footprint. The study highlights the importance of policy uncertainties in energy and environmental policies, and suggests recommendations for energy policy based on empirical results.

Economic Policy Uncertainty and Financial Innovation: Is There Any Affiliation?

Zeng Jia et al.

Summary: This study examines the relationship between economic policy uncertainty (EPU) and financial innovation in BRIC nations from 2004 to 2018. The research finds a long-term association between EPU and financial innovation, with negative shocks in EPU negatively impacting financial innovation. Additionally, bidirectional causality is observed between EPU and financial innovation in all sample countries.

Summary: This study finds that monetary policy uncertainty has asymmetric impacts on energy consumption, with different short- and long-term effects on renewable and non-renewable energy. The results suggest that significant changes are needed in energy policies to address monetary policy uncertainties.

Shuhua Xu et al.

Summary: This study aims to assess the impact of financial innovation on economic growth in India and Pakistan, taking into account the moderating effect of economic policy uncertainty. The findings suggest a complex relationship between economic policy uncertainty, financial innovation, and economic growth in both countries, with asymmetry effects observed in the long-run and short-run. Additionally, evidence supporting a feedback hypothesis between economic policy uncertainty and financial innovation was found in all sample countries.

Nexus between environmental quality, institutional quality and trade openness through the channel of FDI: an application of common correlated effects estimation (CCEE), NARDL, and asymmetry causality

Md Qamruzzaman

Summary: Through different models analysis, the study finds that in the long run, positive impacts are present from environmental quality, institutional quality, and foreign direct investment on trade openness, while asymmetric estimation shows that asymmetry shocks in environmental quality, institutional quality, and foreign direct investment are positively linked with trade openness in the long run. Furthermore, the direction causality test reveals the causal effects of environmental quality, institutional quality, and foreign direct investment on trade openness.
