D-A-π-A-D-type Dopant-free Hole Transport Material for Low-Cost, Efficient, and Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

Tianqi Niu et al.

Summary: The development of low-cost and efficient hole transport materials (HTMs) is crucial for commercialization of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). DTB-FL with a D-A-pi-A-D molecular design shows promise in achieving high efficiencies and stability in PSCs, as it features excellent optoelectronic properties and efficient surface passivation effects.

Influence of donor units on spiro[fluorene-9,9′-xanthene]-based dopant-free hole transporting materials for perovskite solar cells

Yajie Fu et al.

Summary: Three spiro[fluorene-9,9'-xanthene] (SFX)-based organic molecules with different donor units were synthesized and utilized as dopant-free hole-transport materials (HTMs) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The PSCs based on SFX-2CZ achieved the highest power conversion efficiency (PCE), while SFX-4CZ exhibited the lowest efficiency due to its inferior film forming ability. This study provides insights into the design of efficient HTMs based on SFX core with considerations of molecular planarity and number of donor groups.

Dopant-free dithieno[3′,2′:3,4;2,3:5,6]benzo[1,2-d]imidazole-based hole-transporting materials for efficient perovskite solar cells

Qingliang Zeng et al.

Summary: Three dopant-free hole-transporting materials containing DTBI or PTI were designed, synthesized and applied in perovskite solar cells, showing promising efficiency and stability. Among them, M2 exhibited impressive performance with a high efficiency of 16.9% and higher stability compared to doped spiro-OMeTAD-based standard devices, providing a potential strategy for constructing dopant-free HTMs.
