Characteristics of nonlinear ion-acoustic waves in collisional plasmas with ionization effects

Summary: In this study, the linear and nonlinear propagation of ion-acoustic solitary waves in a collisional plasma composed of isothermal warm ions and nonthermal electrons were investigated. The nonlinear dynamics were found to be governed by the damped Korteweg-de Vries (dK-dV) equation, and the effects of ionization and collisions on solitary wave structures were analyzed.

Homotopy perturbation method for modeling electrostatic structures in collisional plasmas

Summary: In this study, a new method is proposed to investigate dissipative soliton collisions in collisional complex unmagnetized plasmas. High-accuracy numerical solutions are found using the homotopy perturbation method, and approximate analytical solutions are discovered to study the characteristics of solitons after collisions. The effects of plasma parameters on the phase shifts of colliding solitons are examined in the research results.

Shock waves in magnetized plasmas with superthermal trapped electrons

Summary: This study investigates the formation and propagation nature of ion-acoustic shock waves in a magnetized plasma with superthermal trapped electrons using fluid dynamical approach for the first time. It examines the basic features of these shock waves and their dependence on plasma parameters, and discusses the potential applications in space and laboratory plasma environments with nonthermal trapped electrons.
