Facile preparation of self-assembled black phosphorus-based composite LB films as new chemical gas sensors

Cheng Qian et al.

Summary: Research on modifying and functionalizing black phosphorus materials has become increasingly popular in recent years. By using 4-azidobenzoic acid to modify few-layers BP nanosheets, the stability of BP was significantly improved. The composite Langmuir-Blodgett film of f-BPNS and dye molecules showed good sensitivity and high stability to acid and alkali gases.

Construction of Nanocrystalline Cellulose-Based Composite Fiber Films with Excellent Porosity Performances via an Electrospinning Strategy

Lei Ge et al.

Summary: Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) are used as a reinforcing agent in polymer composites due to their environmental protection characteristics and nanocharacteristics. In this study, large-porosity composite nanofiber films were prepared using KH550-modified CNCs, PVAL, and WPU. The effects of CNC content, spinning voltage, curing distance, and advancing speed on the morphology and performance of the composite fibers were investigated, with the optimal conditions resulting in a composite fiber film with regular morphology and good spinnability.

Facile fabrication of molybdenum compounds (Mo2C, MoP and MoS2) nanoclusters supported on N-doped reduced graphene oxide for highly efficient hydrogen evolution reaction over broad pH range

Yuelong Xu et al.

Summary: In this study, defect-rich nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide (RGO) with molybdenum (Mo)-based compound loading was designed using a two-step method, showing excellent and durable electrocatalytic performance over a broad pH range. The presence of defects was confirmed through transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) results, while theoretical analysis demonstrated an efficient synergetic effect between RGO and Mo-based compounds on catalytic activity. This work provides insights for the development of new catalysts for water splitting to produce hydrogen.
