Increased expression profile of NCSTN, Notch and PI3K/AKT3 in hidradenitis suppurativa

S. Hessam et al.

Summary: Expressed levels of NCSTN, Notch, and PI3K/AKT signaling components were found to be higher in the skin of patients with familial hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) compared to healthy controls. There was no association between family history and mRNA expression levels, but disease severity did impact the gene expression levels in perilesional skin.
