CO2 conversion through combined steam and CO2 reforming of methane reactions over Ni and Co catalysts

Mohsen Shakouri et al.

Summary: The study showed that the Ni-Co bimetallic and Ni or Co monometallic catalysts can perform both CO(2) reforming and steam reforming of methane in the presence of steam, while the commercial steam reforming catalyst cannot support CO(2) reforming. The presence of a critical steam content limit affects the catalyst's ability to facilitate CO(2) conversion, with steam reforming and water-gas shift becoming dominant above this limit.
